Day-before-yesterday, I was talking about how I received my first audition invitation and procrastinated right up until the deadline, causing me to miss it.
Well, I received a second invitation to this sort of screening-audition and made it online by the submission time! However, when I was submitting my self-tape on EcoCast, it took a few minutes… not finishing until 1 minute after the deadline hour.
A red notice read across the top of the screen how the deadline had passed and the casting director may not see the submission.
That’s one step closer than yesterday. [forced smile] When I logged into Actors Access to submit a self-tape for the first production, one that would be filming in New Orleans, it was already a few minutes after the submission deadline, which caused the self-tape invitation to disappear from “current” auditions and move over to the “archived” tab where there’s no longer the upload button.
[sigh]
Dang, man.
Self-sabotage is a b*tch.
This is my first week on Actors Access and with one measly photo and no credits nor demo reel, I was able to garner two invitations to submit a self-tape. What if that was my beginner’s luck and I’ve foiled the opportunity?!
I hope casting directors don’t make a list of talent that’s invited to audition via a self-tape and fail to send in the audition via a self-tape.

(First, I have to set myself up for there being a next time by checking for roles and marking interest… I’d stopped checking Actors Access once I received those initial two invitations to audition via self-tape. I guess that overwhelmed me, or caused me to start overthinking and freeze.. I have that for a bad habit.)
Okay, it’s a half past six o’clock in the evening and I haven’t eaten. Miss Lady came today and diarrhea along with her. I suppose I’ll go take an evening walk and come back to my lil’ Greaux Studio and relax. … Relaxing will probably be me trying to find videos on YouTube about experiences with Actors Access. I knooooooooow that I have to submit upwards of a hundred roles before booking one, but I’m saying… am I off to a good start or have I screwed myself? Am I blacklisted before ever getting booked?! AHHHHHHHH!
